Earth Day April 22nd

So what day is today?

Today is Earth Day!  Started when I was 10 (April 22, 1970, - yes, prehistoric times without cell phones, fax machines, small computers, Roombas and even the first of the many Star Wars movies).

Earth Day was actually a big deal when I was a kid.  People were concerned about the direction of the environment.  There were discussions in school and in the news.  The 1970s were probably the most notable about scientists warning about global warming.  It was the first time that media (broadcast news at 7 pm – CBS, NBC and ABC) began to really report upon and discuss it.  Hard to believe that we are now 56 years later and it is considered by some as a question as opposed to fact.
